Server Constant Configurations

The basic configuration involves configuring server constants and setting up the time alert function.

Refer to Table 1 for the specific server constant names and values. Use Table 2 to understand the purpose and values of each constant required for configuring the time alert function.

Table 1. Accela Server Constant Configurations
Agency Server Constant Name Server Constant Value
STANDARDDATA TIMEALERT_JOB Y or N
STANDARDDATA TIME_ALERT_MONITOR_INTERVAL Any number (tfeunit: second)
STANDARDDATA JOB_MANAGER_DEAD_TIME Any number (unit: hour)
Specific Agency* TIMEALERT_FLAG Y or N
Specific Agency* TIMEALERT_MONITOR_SR_INTERVAL_H Any number (unit: hour)

* Specific Agency means the application agency such as NOLA, Flagstaff.

Table 2. Server Constant Details
TIMEALERT_JOB Add this server constant in the STANDARDDATA agency. Set the value to Y. The purpose is to start up the daemon process for Time Alert scanning and triggering in the JBoss server.
TIMEALERT_ MONITOR_ INTERVAL Add this server constant in the STANDARDDATA agency. Set the value to a number that represents seconds. For example, if 600 is the value number in seconds then it is 10 minutes. The purpose is to define the delay interval for each Time Alert daemon scanning.
JOB_MANAGER_ DEAD_TIME Add this server constant in the STANDARDDATA agency. Set the value to a number that represents hours. For example, if 480 is the value number in minutes then it is 8 hours. Civic Platform uses this in load balancing the web server. The purpose is to determine if the server is available.
TIMEALERT_ FLAG Add this server constant in a Specific Agency. Set this value to Y. The purpose is to enable the Time Alert functionality in the specified agency.
TIMEALERT_ MONITOR_SR_ INTERVAL_H Add this server constant in a Specific Agency. Set the value to a number that represents hours. For example, if 720 is the value number in hours then it is 12 hours. The purpose is to set the Timed Alert scanning daemon to only count those CAPs that you created or updated within the specified hours (calculated backward from the current time to the past time).
